Installing DIMM

1.

Turn the printer off and disconnect the power cords and
all I/O cables.

2.

Using a small phillips-head screw driver remove the two
screws from the expansion slot on the rear of the printer
(A)

, and pull out the Controller Board part way (B).

note:

You may also perform this procedure with the

Controller Board removed. In this case, lay the board
down flat.

To remove any un-needed DIMMs flip open the ejector
levers as shown. The DIMM will be released from the
memory socket (C).

4.

To add DIMMs:
Hold the DIMM so that the metal connector edge faces

toward the memory socket and the notched side of the
DIMM is on the left.
Being careful not to touch the connection points along
the edge of the DIMM, insert the DIMM straight into the
memory socket (D).
Press the DIMM in until it clicks into place.
Make sure the DIMM is seated securely and the ejector
levers are locked.

5.

Slide the controller board back into the printer and
reinstall the screws (E).

6.

Connect the interface cable and power cord and turn on
the printer. The Startup page should print indicating the
correct amount of RAM (see previous page).
