Preventing Camera Shake

If you move the camera when pressing the shutter release button,
the still image might not come out clearly due to camera shake. The

mark displayed on the LCD monitor indicates that camera

shake may occur.
To prevent camera shake, use a tripod or hold the camera securely
with both hands when you shoot.
Camera shake tends to occur in the following cases:

• When shooting in a dark place without using the flash
• When shooting in Slow Sync Mode (P.37)
• When using the Zoom function
• When shooting using long time exposure (P.75)

If the camera shake warning mark (

) is displayed, try the

following:

• Using the camera shake correction function (P.29).
• Using the flash (Set the Flash Mode to [AUTO] or [FLASH ON])

(P.37).

• Raising the ISO setting (P.83).
• Using the self-timer (P.88).
