DAServer Global System Item

The following system item refers to specific information regarding a global condition of the
DAServer.

If FALSE, this item causes the
DAServer to stop updating existing
tags, to refuse activation of new tags,
and to reject write requests in addition
to setting quality for all items to BAD.
If TRUE, the DAServer functions as
configured.
All instances have the same value.

RANGE: 0, 1

1: Valid license
exists.

0: No valid
license exists.

relevant.

The device group (OPC access
path/topic) does not affect the
value. The status can be good
even if individual items have

from the leaf level of a DAServer
hierarchy branch, which is the
destination PLC node.
For OPC clients, $SYS$Status
can be accessed at all hierarchy
levels. $SYS$Status at the root
level of the whole hierarchy tree
is always good, as it represents
the quality status of the local
computer itself. Hence, for
