Connecting an AV receiver

18

English

The following connections allow you to record programs from your VCR or set-top
box to your DVD recorder via your AV receiver.

1

If your VCR or set-top box is connected to your AV receiver with an S-Video
cable, connect an S-Video cable (10) from your AV receiver’s S-Video output to
the S-Video input on your TV.

2

If your VCR or set-top box is connected to your AV receiver with a composite
video cable, connect a composite video cable (11) from the AV receiver’s com-
posite video output to the composite video input on your TV.

You don’t need to connect both the S-Video and composite video cables to your TV.
S-Video offers better picture quality.

1

Using the supplied composite video cable (13), connect the DVD recorder’s
VIDEO (CVBS) input to a composite video output on your AV receiver.

2

Using an AUDIO L/R cable (14), connect the DVD recorder’s AUDIO L/R inputs
to the analog audio outputs on your AV receiver. (Connect white-to-white and
red-to-red).

3

Using an S-Video cable (12), connect the DVD recorder’s S-VIDEO input to an
S-Video output on your AV receiver.
