SECTION 6—MAINTENANCE
Washing Bed Ends
CAUTION
DO NOT wash head or foot section. AC motors and electronics are not water
proof.
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 6.1.
1. Stand or prop each bed end in an upright position on its legs.
2. Using a mild soap/detergent and soft bristle brush or sponge, scrub all exterior
surfaces.
3. Using a hose and nozzle attachment, rinse bed ends thoroughly with plain cold or
warm water.
NOTE: DO NOT exceed a water temperature of 110° F.
NOTE: Use household tap pressure. DO NOT use pressure washers or steam cleaners.
CAUTION
To protect flooring, ensure bed ends are completely drained and dry before placing
on flooring. Otherwise, remaining dirty water may damage or stain flooring.
Avoid spraying water directly into the gear box ends. Otherwise, damage to the
gear box may occur.
4. Tip bed end from side to side to allow
any collected or trapped water to drain.
5. Thoroughly towel dry bed end and all
components.
6. Repeat drying process until all
components are dry.
NOTE: Ensure that the bed end is completely
dry before storing.

Cleaning Head and Foot Sections
1. Unplug the power cord of electric beds before performing maintenance.
2. Wipe down the bed with disinfectant. Allow it to dry completely.
