The source holder is also available as a fire-proof version (821 °C for

30 min./1510 °F for 30 min.). This version has an expansion tank.
Mount the source holder in such a way that the expansion tank is on

top, i.e. in the highest position.
In case of fire, the molten lead can expand to the expansion tank and

just closes the channel of the exit beam.
Note:

After a fire, the shielding in the upper area of the protective vessel is

slighly reduced. Contact our consultants concerning the exchange of

the source holder.

Due to lack of space above the source holder, the source holder can

be also mounted in such away that the expansion tank is below or

laterally.
In case of fire, the molten lead can expand to the expansion tank and

hence fills the exist channel and the expansion tank.

Warning:

After a fire, the shielding in the upper area of the source container is

considerably reduced. The system may no longer be operated. The

source container must be exchanged immediately.
