Configuring the Computer’s IP Address
The computer’s Network port must be configured to use t h e
s a m e c o m m u n i c a t i o n s p r o t o c o l a s t h e VN-
QUANTUM (called TCP/IP). It must also be allocated an
IP Address that is compatible with the VN Processor. For
advice on choosing IP Addresses, see Appendix A.
If the computer is already connected to (and configured for)
an existing network, you must consult the network
administrator before making any of the following
changes. In addition, please note that you will need to be
logged on with administrative rights before you can change
Windows network settings.
