IMPORTANT:

The agent communicates with the management module over the network using

port number 3573. Newer Windows operating systems might require that you manually
enable inbound and outbound communications on port 3573. See your operating system
documentation for more information.

NOTE:

You might need to reboot after installing the agent on Windows®.

Installing the agent using the GUI method

1.

Insert the HP Infrastructure Management Pack CD into the CD-ROM drive of the computer. If the
AutoPlay feature is enabled, the installation menu automatically starts. If the AutoPlay feature is
disabled, explore the CD, and then double-click AUTORUN.EXE in the root folder.
If the software has been downloaded from the HP website (

http://www.hp.com/go/rackandpower

),

follow the instructions to unpack the files, and then locate and run SETUP.EXE.

2.

Select HP UPS Management Module from the side menu.

3.

Select UPS Power Protection Agent.
The Welcome screen appears.

4.

Read the introduction, and then click Next.

The License Agreement screen appears.
