from OFF to ON. The default position of the switch is OFF. Also, each unit must
have a different address. See par. 6.3 to change the addresses.
In order for the RS485 communication line to perform the best, Magnetek
recommends to connect its PVI-RS232485 adapter before the first unit of the
daisy-chain (see fig. 19 for details)
Equivalent devices may also be used for the same purpose, but they have not been
tested therefore Magnetek cannot grant the right functionalities.
Please also note that ordinary commercial adapters may need additional impedance
termination. Aurora PVI-RS232485 adapter DOES NOT.
The following diagram shows how to connect multiple units on the same RS-485
bus.
