Recording on an MD
manually

— Manual Recording

If you use a partially recorded MD, recording
starts after the recorded tracks.

Insert a recordable MD.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly to select
the desired source to record.

• CD: Recording from the CD

• TUNER: Recording from the radio

Press REC/REC IT.

The MD deck stands by for recording.

Press MD HS

Recording starts.

Start playing the desired source (CD,
etc.) to record.

When recording from this system’s CD
player, the track numbers are automatically
marked. Press REC/REC IT during recording
to mark the track numbers at the desired
point. If you want to mark track numbers
automatically during recording from the
radio, see “Marking track numbers” on
page 32.

To stop recording

Press MD x.

Tips

• You can adjust the recording level to the desired

volume after performing step 3 (see page 36).

• You can check the remaining recordable time on the

MD during recording by pressing TIME on the
remote.

Note

If you pause recording during CD recording, a track
number is recorded at that point. Also, note that the
tracks might be recorded as the same single track with
a single track number when the same single track of
the same CD is recorded repeatedly.
