Initialize (flashing)

The Setup Menu settings have been lost.
Or the contents recorded by the timer have
disappeared over time and are not be available
for saving to disc, or Program Play could not be
activated since the program has disappeared
over time.
(The message flashes for about four seconds
when you turn on the deck by pressing ?/1.)

Name Full!

There is no more space to store track or disc
titles.

No Change

While attempting to change the recording level
after recording, you pressed ENTER/YES
without actually changing the recording level,
so no change was made.

No Disc

There is no disc in the MD deck.

No Name

You tried to show the title of a non-labeled disc
or track.

—OVER—

You have reached the end of the MD while
keep pressing MD/CD M> during playing
pause.

Push STOP!

You pressed PLAY MODE during play.

—Rehearsal—

The MD is playing the specified dividing point
for confirmation during the Divide function.

S.F Edit!

You attempted to perform another operation
while in S.F Edit (changing the recording level
after recording, Fade-in, Fade-out) mode.
You cannot perform any other operations while
in S.F Edit mode.

Messages

One of the following messages may appear or
flash in the display during operation.

MD

Auto Cut

The MD deck is pausing the recording because
silence continued for about 30 seconds or more
during digital recording.

Blank Disc

The inserted recordable MD is new, or all
tracks on the MD have been erased.

Cannot Edit

• A pre-mastered MD is in the deck.
• You tried to edit during Program or Shuffle

Play.

Cannot REC

• A pre-mastered MD is in the deck.
• The function is switched to MD.

Complete!

The editing operation of MDs is completed.

Disc Full!

There is no time remaining on the MD.

Eject

The MD deck is ejecting the MD.

Impossible

• You tried to make an impossible editing

operation.

• You cannot combine the tracks due to the

system limitations of MDs.

Incomplete!

The S.F Edit (changing the recording level after
recording, Fade-in, Fade-out) operation was not
performed properly because the deck was
moved while recording was in progress or the
MD is damaged or dirty.
