DIL Switch Mode

For a base configuration, Lauer Navigation Monitors are equipped with DIL (DIP)
switches, where the monitor address and the serial interface mode can be selected. Be-
sides this configuration option, Lauer Navigation Monitors allow full software con-
figuration, which is stored in an internal flash memory. The software configuration
also includes monitor address and serial interface mode setting. The value returned
with this command indicates, whether the monitor should use hardware settings se-
lected with the DIL switches, or override the hardware configuration with the appro-
priate settings from the flash memory.
