There are three PCI Express card slots on the riser card assembly 2 for installing Ethernet cards or other
supported PCI Express cards.

are supported only in server models with two microprocessors. For server models
with one microprocessor, the slot

are covered. If you install the second microprocessor
in the server, you need to remove the covers that protect the slot

before installing any
supported cards into the slots.
• You also can install a converged network adapter (CNA) into a PCI Express card slot.
