Protecting Images

To prevent images from being inadvertently erased (

p.40), you can

make them read-only files. This is referred to as “protection”.

Protecting Individual Images

1. From the play menu (

p.35), select [PROTECT].

Use the jog dial to select [PROTECT] and then press the OK ( )

button.

2. Select [1 IMAGE].

Use the jog dial to select [1 IMAGE] and then press the OK ( ) button.

3. Select the desired drive.

Move the OK ( ) button up or down to select the drive where the
image to be protected is located and then press the OK ( ) button.

4. Display the image to be protected.

Use the jog dial to select the image you want to protect.
The protection icon

is displayed on images that are already

protected.

ATTENTION

Formatting (

p.156) erases all images, including protected images.

Erased images cannot be restored.
