Write-protection

To prevent important data from being accidentally erased, you can lock

(write-protect) an SD card by moving the write-protect tab on the side of the

card to the LOCK position. To record, edit or erase data on the card, return

the tab to the unlocked position.

IMPORTANT

Not all third-party SD cards are guaranteed to work with this camera.

Opening and closing the LCD monitor turns the

camera on and off.
Open the LCD monitor: Turns the camera on.
Close the LCD monitor: Turns the camera off.
If the date and time are not set, the screen for setting

the date and time appears when you turn the camera

on. (

MEMO

If [LCD-LINKED POWER] (

p.114) is set to [OFF], opening and

closing the LCD monitor does not turn the camera on and off. Slide the

POWER switch to turn the camera on and off.
Use the mode LED to check whether the camera is turned on when the

LCD monitor is closed.
You can start the camera up more quickly by setting [QUICK START]
(

p.115) to [ON].
