Shooting in Auto Mode
When you select Auto mode, the camera automatically chooses almost all
the settings for recording. This makes it easier to shoot error-free images
and video, since most of the camera buttons are disabled.
1. Press the AUTO button.
When the camera is in Auto mode, the AUTO button and the auto guide
lamp ( p.2, p.3) light blue.
To cancel Auto mode, simply press the AUTO button again.
Buttons Enabled in Auto Mode
POWER switch, MODE switch, REC button, REC button, zoom
lever, MENU button (shows the simple menu in Auto mode) and AUTO
button
Functions Available in Auto Mode
Video recording, still image recording, zooming, erase, save to, video
quality, still image size, self-timer, LCD brightness and the setup menu
options
Functions Restricted in Auto Mode
ATTENTION
Canceling Auto mode does not restore the settings being used before
you selected Auto mode.
