Parameter – A memory address that is used to store data for use by the
program. The data stored in the parameter can be either variable or constant.
Port – Hardware located on the Main Control Board which allows for
connection of one Adapter Board to the microbus.
Reset – A signal used to return a function to its initial state.
Scaling – A number used as a multiplier, so chosen that it will cause a set
quantity to fall within a given range of values.
Software – Programs, procedures, rules and documentation pertaining to the
operation of the computer system.
