2. Attach the new label that reads “$1 coin, $2 coin, Token”.
3. Put the unit in setup mode.
4. Go to the Diagnostics main menu.
5. Go to the “Test bills/coins “sub-menu.
6. Open the cover of the IDX acceptor.
7. Turn the rotary switch of the IDX to position 5.
8. Press the reset button to the left of the rotary switch only once.
9. Turn the rotary switch back to zero and close the IDX cover.
10. Insert quarters to the IDX to check if the quarter acceptance has been erased
from the IDX.
D. Programming the IDX to Accept Currency
The Canadian Wash Select II comes programmed to accept and dispense the Canadian $1
dollar coin and quarter. If your unit needs to be reprogrammed for any reason, use the
following procedures.
To program the IDX acceptor, you will need to have six of each of the coins that you are
trying to program (coins or tokens).
1. If you are accepting old style $1 coins:
11. Remove the front cover by pushing in and up at the bottom right corner of the
main body of the unit (near the phone number printed on the cover).
12. Find the rotary-switch and set it to the position labeled number 5.
13. Press the reset button immediately to the left of the rotary switch once.
14. Drop the six different old style dollar coins through the acceptor. The IDX will blink
once after each coin. Verify that the light (LED) blinks 5 times after the last coin is
entered.
15. Replace the rotary switch back to zero.
2. If you are accepting new style $1 coins:
1. Remove the front cover by pushing in and up at the bottom right corner of the
main body of the unit (near the phone number printed on the cover).
2. Find the rotary-switch and set it to the position labeled number 4.
3. Press the reset button immediately to the left of the rotary switch once.
4. Drop the six different new style dollar coins through the acceptor. The IDX will
blink once after each coin. Verify that the light (LED) blinks 5 times after the last
coin is entered.
5. Replace the rotary switch back to zero.
3. If you are accepting quarters:
1. Remove the front cover by pushing in and up at the bottom right corner of the
main body of the unit (near the phone number printed on the cover).
2. Find the rotary-switch and set it to the position labeled number 6.
