Changing Program Settings (BaseStation 1000 Controller)

1. In the main BaseManager interface, select the site and controller that you want to change the program

settings for.
a. From the list under the All tab on the left side of the map, click the site. The controllers assigned to that

site are listed below the site name.

b. Click the controller that you want to work with. A blue arrow displays next to the controller that is

selected.

2. Click the Programs tab.
3. In the list, find the row for the program that you want to change, and then click the Edit Program button.

IMPORTANT!

When you click Edit Program, a Save button displays on the end of the program row. Click this

button to save all changes that you make to the program.

4. In the Program field, type a name that helps to identify this program.
5. Make sure there is a check mark in the Enabled field.
6. In the Max Zones field, type a number to indicate how many zones can run at the same time in this program.
7. Under the program row, click on a heading to expand the section in order to change the following program

information:
Note: To collapse an expanded section, click on the heading row again.

Soak Cycles

Expand the General section, and then perform the following task:

• To set up soak cycles, type a number to indicate how many cycles the zone will have in the Number of

Cycles field. Type a number in the Soak Time field to indicate how long the soak time will be. When you

select Intelligent Soak Cycles, the controller implements Intelligent Soak Cycles™, which prioritizes

runtimes for zones that have already started to water over zones that have not started in order to

maximize watering efficiency and minimize total irrigation time. To activate soak cycles in this program,

click the Soak Cycles Enabled check box.

Start Times/Days and Start Conditions

Expand the Start Program section, and then perform any of the following tasks:

• To set up start times, click the Enabled check box in the upper-right corner of the Timed Start section. Click

the Add Start Time button, and then type the start time for the program in the box. Click the arrow in the

Water Schedule box, and then select the schedule type that you want. Update the additional Water

Schedule inputs as needed.

• To set up a moisture sensor start condition, click the Enabled check box at the right end of the Moisture

Start heading. In the field on the left, click the arrow, and then select the moisture sensor that you want to

use for this start condition. In the Limit Type field, click the arrow, and then select whether you want to

use the upper or lower limit. In the Limit field, type the limit that you want to use for the start condition. In

the Water Schedule box, click the arrow, and then select the schedule that you want to use with this start

condition.

• To set up a switch or event start condition, click the Enabled check box at the right end of the Switch or

Event Start heading. In the field on the left, click the arrow, and then select the event switch device that

you want to use for this start condition. In the Limit Type field, click the arrow, and then select whether
