Using Various Receiving Functions

The machine has various receiving functions as follows.

Fax Reception Rejection

The machine can be set to reject faxes from specific senders. The fax reception rejection can be set
for the faxes sent with no sender information, the numbers not registered to the one-touch speed
dial or coded speed dial, or the numbers registered to the rejected numbers.
Registration to Rejected numbers can be performed on a computer using Speed Dial Utility
supplied with the machine.

Remote Reception

If the machine is located away from the telephone, pick up the handset of the telephone connected
to the machine and dial 25 (the remote reception ID) to receive faxes (remote reception).
The remote reception can be enabled or disabled with Remote RX.
Select ON to change Remote RX ID (remote reception ID).

Settings for Receiving Faxes

The various settings of the machine for receiving faxes are listed below. Change the settings as
necessary.

ECM RX

Receives faxes in ECM (Error Correction Mode). When the sender's fax machine is compatible with

ECM, it resends the fax after correcting errors automatically. Select ON to receive a color fax.

FAX priority mode

Selects the detailed settings such as the ring start time, telephone ring time, and default action
when the receive mode is set to FAX priority mode.

Incoming ring

Selects whether or not to ring the external telephone when a call incomes. The number of times to
ring can be selected when ON is selected.
