Air distribution in front/rear passenger

compartment via COMAND

The air distribution can be adjusted via
COMAND (

Adjusting air volume

You can adjust the air volume separately on
each side if the passenger compartment.
You can adjust the air volume via COMAND

Front air volume with the front climate

Rear air volume with the front climate

control panel

Activate the Rear) function via
COMAND (

used to operate the rear climate control via
COMAND and the rocker switches on the
control panel from the front.

Front defroster

You can use this setting to defrost the
windshield, for example if it is iced up.
You can also defog the windshield and the
side windows.

Keep this setting selected only until the

windshield or the side windows are clear
again.

Activating

The indicator lamp in the rocker switch
comes on.

The climate control switches to the following
functions automatically:

R

most efficient blower speed and heating
power, depending on outside temperature

R

air flows onto the windshield and the front
side windows

R

the air conditioning compressor switches
on at outside temperatures above
approximately 41‡ (5†) for air-drying

Adjustments
You can adjust the air volume and the
temperature when the front defroster is
switched on. The air flow will remain on the
windshield and front door windows.

Press rocker switch

Q

up or down to

increase or decrease air volume to the
desired level.
The air volume increases/decreases to the
next higher/lower blower speed and
heating switches to the temperature that
was set before the front defroster was
switched on.
