active/standby An active/standby algorithm, in which traffic will be sent on one port only,
even if the other port in the LAG is active. (As the distribution algorithm is not negotiated
with the far end, but has only a local significance, the receive direction is enabled on this
standby port.) If the active port fails, the standby port takes over. The protocol is not
revertive.
•
Vlan-xor VLAN-based XOR distribution (similar to MAC/XOR, but using the outer VLAN
field as a reference. Untagged frames are distributed based on the value on the 14th and
15th byte of data.
•
Vlan-ip-xor VLAN, IP Src, and IP Dest based distribution (similar to MAC/XOR, but
using VLAN, IP source, and IP destination fields as reference).
Static LAG Enabling this attribute sets all LAG variables to the following fixed values. If the static
LAG attribute is enabled, the LAG port attributes cannot be changed:
•
LAG Port Attributes: Assignment Status is Assigned, LACP Activity is Passive.
•
LAG Port Partner Attributes: Aggregation, Synchronization, Collecting, and Distributing
are set to Yes. A static LAG should be enabled when the LAG configuration on both ends
is known and there is no need for dynamic port to group allocation. A static LAG will not
send LACP frames or process-received LACP frames; it will not dynamically exchange
information with the LAG partner.
