Before start-up, the batteries must
be inserted into the instrument. The
instrument is operated on two mig-
non batteries. These can be pri-
mary batteries (1.5 V) or recharge-
able nickel cadmium or nickel
metal hydride batteries. (1.2 V).

Only use alkaline batteries as
primary battery!

The batteries have a capacity
sufficient for approximately 5,000
measurements (rechargeable
batteries: approximately 1,500
measurements), depending on the
brand.

When the battery capacity falls
below the minimum level, the
message LOW BATTERY appears
in the display.

So that the measuring unit is
always ready for operation, it is
recommended to keep spare
batteries handy, particularly when
making measurements in the field.

Please note! Dead batteries are
considered hazardous waste.
Never incinerate batteries or
discard them in household trash.
Instead, dispose of them only at
appropriate collection sites.
