Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. If your measuring unit should
experience a malfunction, our costumer service will be glad to help you
as quickly as possible.

Yes: If applicable,
check the calibration
using the auxiliary
standard. Calibration incorrect:
Recalibrate, possibly
clean the standard
(chap. 7).
Calibration correct:
Is the specimen sur-
face completely
smooth and does the
measuring unit make
good contact with the
specimen? No: In this case, very
large deviations are
possible (chap. 10).
Yes: The unit is
defective. Please contact our
customer service.
