In statistic mode, it is possible to
record series of measurements with
up to 999 values. The mean value
and standard deviation are
calculated automatically in this
mode.

Press the mode button to switch
on the instrument. Then press the
mode button until the display
STATISTIC appears (fig. 14).

If a value n greater than 000
appears in the display, measure-
ments have already been stored.
If necessary, clear the memory
according to section 9.3.

Position the measuring unit so that
the marks on the side are above
the sample point to be measured
and start the first measurement by
pressing the operate button. The
comment BUSY in the display
indicates that the unit is measuring.
The red measurement indicators on
the side also light up during the
measurement operation. After
approx. 3 seconds, the measured
values appear in the display. Start
additional measurements using the
operate button.

The value of the last respective
measurements for haze (HA) and
gloss (20°) are always shown left of
the display. The number of
measurements performed (n) is
shown at the top right.
