SIGNAL SELECT
to
select the input signal
corresponding to the source
component.
Each press switches between
ANALOG and DIGITAL signal
selection (VSX-D710S/D710S-G).
On the VSX-D810S/D810S-G
receiver there is an AUTO setting
(see page 51 ®). In this setting the
receiver will automatically switch
between the analog and digital
signals according to what is being
input. If both signals are input the
AUTO setting will choose the
digital one. This setting is
convenient as the receiver will
always choose the best or
appropriate signal.

SIGNAL SELECT
is set
to DIGITAL, □□ DIGITAL
lights when a Dolby Digital
signal is input, DTS lights
when a DTS signal is input.
MEMO:
• SIGNAL SELECT is fixed in the
“ANALOG” position for
components not assigned to one of
the digital input jacks.
• This receiver can only play back
Dolby Digital, PCM (32kHz,
44kHz, and 48kHz [VSX-D810S/
D810S-G can play 96kHz]), and
DTS, digital signal formats. With
digital signal formats other than
these, set SIGNAL SELECT to
ANALOG.
• When an LD or CD player
compatible with DTS is played back
with SIGNAL SELECT set in
“ANALOG”, digital noise is output
caused by playing back the DTS
directly (no decoding). To prevent
noise, you need to make digital
connections (Refer to page 10-11)
and set SIGNAL SELECT to
“DIGITAL”.
• Some DVD players don’t output
DTS signals. For more details,
refer to the instruction manual
supplied with your DVD player.

AUTO elegirá la digital. Esta
característica es conveniente ya
que el receptor elegirá siempre la
señal más apropiada o mejor.

cuando se reciba una señal
Dolby Digital, y DTS se
iluminará cuando se reciba
una señal DTS.
MEMO:
• SIGNAL SELECT está fija en la
posición "ANALOG" para
componentes que no estén
asignados a una de las tomas de
entrada digital.
• Este receptor sólo puede
reproducir formatos de señal
digital Dolby Digital, PGM (32
kHz, 44 kHz y 48 kHz [el VSX-
D810S/D810S-G puede reproducir
96 kHz] y DTS. Con formatos de
señal digital distintos a estos ajuste
SIGNAL SELECT a "ANALOG".
• Cuando se reproduce desde un LD
o un CD compatible con DTS con
SIGNAL SELECT en el valor
"ANALOG", se producirá ruido
digital como consecuencia de la
reproducción del DTS directamente
(sin decodificación). Para evitar
ruidos, necesitará realizar
conexiones digitales (consulte la
página 10-11) y seleccionar
"DIGITAL" en SIGNAL SELECT.
• Algunos reproductores de DVDs
no dan salida a señales DTS. Para
más información, consulte el
manual de instrucciones
suministrado con su reproductor
de DVDs.
