XC880A OWNERS MANUAL

6. The XC880A now prompts for a tare weight to be entered. The tare

weight may be entered through the keyboard, or left at 0.0. Press
‘ENTER.

7. The operator is prompted for APW. Enter the known Average Piece

Weight for the part being added or leave at 0.0. If the value is left at
0.0 the operator will be prompted to enter or calculate the APW when
the part number is called. After the APW is determined, it can be
saved in the file if desired.

8. The operator is next given a choice to use set points for the added

record. These settings are adjusted in the same manner as described in
section 6. If a set point mode is selected, the stored settings and values
will be recalled, and used whenever the part number file is activated.

An alternate method for adding a new record is to call up a non-

existent part number, which causes the XC880A to prompt the operator for
data, as described above. When all data is entered or calculated, a new
record is created and a count is initiated.

5.2 Deleting Records

Below are procedures for deleting a specific part from memory or clearing

all memory at once.

1. Press the ‘SHIFT’ key, followed by ‘D’. The XC880A prompts for the

file in the same manner as when adding records. Press the letter
corresponding to the desired file.

2. The XC880A prompts to delete all files.

a. Pressing ‘1’ or ‘Y’ at this time will cause the scale to prompt the

operator for a password (if set), and if correct, delete all part
number records from memory. When complete, the number of
records deleted will be displayed briefly, and the XC880A will
return to its previous state.

b. Press ‘0’ or ‘N’ if a specific part is to be deleted from memory.

The operator will be prompted for the part number. If the entered
number is found, only that record will be deleted and the XC880A
will return to its previous state.

c. Press ‘RESET’ to cancel this operation and return scale to

weighing mode.

5.3 Editing Records

Individual records may be edited through the keyboard in the following

manner.

1. Press ‘SHIFT’ key followed by ‘E’, and select the desired file. The

XC880A prompts for the part number to edit.
