AFTER USING THE TYPEWRITER AND TO STORE

1)

Turn off the on/off Switch and disconnect the Power Cord from the electrical outlet.

2)

Store the Power Cord in the Cord Compartment.

3)

Repiace the Keyboard Cover and fasten securely.

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

Cleaning

Do not attempt to disassemble the typewriter to clean it.

Dust the typewriter lightly, using only a dry cloth.

Never use water or solvents such as thinner, alcohoi, etc. to ciean your typewriter.

When the Top Cover is opened for repiacement of the Printwheel, Ribbon Cassette or Correction Tape,

be sure not to drop items such as a pin, paper ciip, nail file, etc. into the typewriter. They may cause
damage to the typewriter.

Service

1)

It is recommendedi that your typewriter be serviced at least once a year by a Sears qualified service

technician. Any malfunction caused by maintenance performed by anyone other than Sears qualified
service personnel will void the warranty.

If the typewriter fails to function or does not function properly, check the following:

® Is the typewriter plugged into a live socket?'
® Is the typewriter switched on?

® Is the Printwheel properly installed? (See Page 9, Section 2, Paragraph 2)
® Are the Ribbon Cassette and the Correction Tape properly installed?
® Have the Ribbon Cassette or Correction Tape been used up?

If the typewriter still does not work properly after checking the above, contact your nearest Sears Service

Center.
