Glow Plug Testing
Glow plugs are connected in parallel. For that
reason, if one plug fails open other plugs w ill continue
to operate. How ever, loss of one plug w ill increase the
possibility of the heat w ire m elting open in the rem ain
ing plugs.
To test each glow plug, rem ove the connector.
Check each glow plug for continuity betw een the plug
term inal and m etal. If continuity is indicated, replace the
glow plug.
