+ Connecting HDMI cable
*Using buttons during TV output
- Power switch, Short : Switch to the LCD screen
- Volume + button, Short : Play/Pause, Long : REW
- Volume - button, Short : Change the screen aspect ratio, Long : FF
1. Connect the AV cable to the USB port of COWON V5 and
the TV AV-IN port.
2. Set external TV input to Composite mode.
3. Play a video file in the video player and click the “TV-Out”
button. (See p14, Video player button description)
4. Check if the AV-out is normal.
* Orange-colored connector indicates the S/PDIF output.

Basic Use
+ Media_Videos _Connecting HDMI and AV cables
COWON V5 supports high definition output by HDMI.
1. Connect the HDMI cable to the USB port of COWON V5 and
the TV HDMI port.
2. Set external TV input to HDMI mode.
3. Play a video file in the video player and click the “TV-Out”
button. (See p14, Video player button description)
4. Check if the HDMI output is normal.

COWON V5 supports Composite video output,
stereo, and S/PDIF audio output.
