This DB-9 port can be used as an RS232/422/485 COM port or as an isolated 4-bit DIO. Refer
to the jumper setting in this section for its respective configuration.
COM2 (Serial) Port
The serial port is an asynchronous communication ports with 16C550A-compatible UARTs that
can be used with modems, serial printers, remote display terminals, and other serial devices.
Isolated 4-bit DIO (2-bit in and 2-bit out)
The isolated 4-bit Digital I/O connector provides powering-on function to external devices that
are connected to these connectors.
