Pull the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt
forwards. Place shoulder belt behind the
hook of the open shoulder belt guide
(Fig. 48; Step 3).
Close the shoulder belt guide clip by
pressing it up into the locked position
(Fig. 49, Step 4).
Check to see if the belt guide is properly
closed (locked in place).
Securing your child:
Place your child in your car seat making
sure that the child's back is contacting the
back rest.
Place the lap portion of the vehicle's lap and
shoulder belt under the seat's arm rest on
the side across from the vehicle belt buckle
(Fig. 50; Step 5).
