OPERATION

WARNING:

This motorcycle was produced with the designated tires as original equipment.

The testing that was done to ensure stability and superior handling included

these tires. The use of other tires may cause instability. Failure to use Victory

original equipment tires could result in poor motorcycle stability and handling,

which can lead to a crash and subsequent serious injury or death. Use only the

recommended tire at the recommended tire pressure.

The use of tire tubes and valve cores other than original equipment replacement

Victory parts could cause tire deflation during extended driving. Always use

genuine Victory parts or their equivalent for replacement.

Be certain to install the valve caps securely. Not doing so may lead to air pres-

sure leakage during extended driving.

Before riding this motorcycle, become thoroughly familiar with all operating con-

trols and their functions. Consult a Victory dealer regarding any control or func-

tion you do not fully understand.

Never start your engine or let it run for any length of time in an enclosed area.

The exhaust fumes are poisonous and can cause loss of consciousness and

death within a short time. Always operate your motorcycle in an area with ade-

quate ventilation.

The motorcycle must not be ridden when the sidestand is down.

Be certain vehicle stand is up before riding the motorcycle. If not, it could contact

the road surface causing a momentary disturbance which could cause loss of

vehicle control.

Starting and Warming up a Cold Engine

NOTE: This motorcycle is equipped with a starter interlock system. The engine

can be started only under the following conditions:

The transmission is in neutral.

D

The the transmission is in gear and the clutch disengaged

CAUTION: If the fuel indicator light comes on, check the fuel level and, if

necessary, add fuel.
1. Shift the transmission into neutral.
NOTE: When the transmission is in neutral, the neutral indicator light should be

on. If the light does not come on, ask a Victory dealer to inspect it.
2. Engage the fast idle lever by pulling the lever towards the rider until it comes

to a stop.

3. Turn the key to “ON” and ensure that the stop switch is in the “RUN” position.

4. Start the engine by pushing the start switch.
