MAINTENANCE
Sidestand Pivot
1. Support the motorcycle in
an upright position
2. Inspect the side stand
spring for damage or loss of
tension.
3. Inspect the side stand for
smooth movement,
lubricate if necessary.
4. Inspect the side stand pivot
bolt nut for proper torque
(36 ft. lbs. - 5.0 kg-m)).
5. Make sure that the side
stand is not bent. Do not
attempt to straighten the
side stand if it is bent. The
side stand should be
replaced if it is found to be
bent.
