DC overvoltage
Disconnect generator

Overvoltage at DC input. The inverter may be destroyed.
When this message is signaled, it is accompanied by
rapid flashing of the backlight.
Corrective measures:

IMMEDIATELY DISCONNECT the inverter from

voltage sources (see Section 9).

• Check the DC voltage to ensure it is below the

maximum input voltage of the inverter. If the DC
voltage is below the maximum input voltage of the
inverter, reconnect the DC connectors to the
inverter.

• If the DC voltage is above the maximum input

voltage of the inverter, ensure that the small wind
turbine system and the relevant DC overvoltage
protection are correctly rated or contact the small
wind turbine system installer.

• If this message is repeated frequently, contact the

SMA Service Line.

3501

Insulation failure
Check generator

The inverter has detected a ground fault in the small wind
turbine system.
Corrective measures:

• Check the small wind turbine system for ground

faults (see Section 11.4).

3601

High discharge curr.
Check generator

The leakage currents of the inverter and the small wind
turbine system are too high. A ground fault, a residual
current or a malfunction is present.
The inverter interrupts feed-in operation immediately after
exceeding a limiting value. When the fault is eliminated,
the inverter automatically reconnects to the power
distribution grid.
Corrective measures:

• Check the small wind turbine system for ground

faults (see Section 11.4).
