Pixel errors in the LC display

In spite of the latest manufacturing methods, in rare cases one or more light points may fail. In

active matrix TFTs with 480x234 pixels which each consist of three sub-pixels, more than 300,000

actuation elements are used. Due to the highly complex manufacturing process, rarely pixels or

individual sub-pixels may fail or be faulty.

The following tables provides an overview of the maximum tolerable number of pixel errors that

may occur before constituting a warranty claim. A warranty claim may arise where the specified

number of errors in a category is exceeded.
