Introduction
The GT480 control panel is supplied as a blank fronted end station complete with LCD RKP. Up
to 3 additional keypads may be fitted if required. Two types of keypad are available, the 480
Profile RKP that offers two additional zones from the RKP (fixed as E/E + Chime & Access) or
the eurosec CP8L RKP with no RKP Zones. the unit is fully programmable by the installation
engineer and comes pre-programmed with a set of factory defaults that will suit most
installations. Eight programmable zones are available on the GT480.
Note: It may be required that an engineer has to be authorised by a user before access
to the engineer mode is granted.
Display Status Blanking
Depending on Control Panel installed, It may be a requirement that the Status (Set or Unset
display) of the security system is not displayed, Set or Unset Status will only be displayed for
ten seconds when the system is Set or Unset. The bottom line of the display will then be
blanked off.
If the Control Panel is non EN then all displays will be shown.“CHECK” will not be displayed.
Pre Setting Error Check
At the start of the setting procedure any non exit routes that are open will show a fault tone.
The display will show, for example:-
If the fault clears within 20 seconds then the exit will begin, if not, the fault tone will continue
until a valid User code is entered.
