Clearing scanner jams
Occasionally, paper becomes jammed during a scan or copy job.
Some of the causes include the following:
● The paper input trays are loaded improperly. See “ Loading
Copier/Scanner originals .”
● The original is too small or large to be correctly fed through the
scanner. See “
Supported paper sizes and types (media) .”
● The original exceeds the maximum page length. See “ Supported
paper sizes and types (media) .”
● Media that does not meet HP specifications is used. See “ Printer
paper specifications .”
An error message will appear on your PC screen when a jam occurs.
