Clearing jams
1 Open the scanner door.
2 Locate and grasp the original on the
top or bottom side, whichever side
sticks out further, and then pull
gently and steadily.
3 If necessary, roll the white wheel in
the opposite direction you are pulling
the original. For example, if you are
pulling the original from the bottom,
roll the wheel up.
If the jammed original is not visible, see

Clearing hard-to-reach jams .”
Note
Always remove all originals from the
input tray and straighten the stack when
new originals are added.
