UNDERSTANDING TOURS, CONTINUED

1 Tour

Method These options define the type of Tour to use.

Preset

Tour The Preset Tour cycles through recorded Presets. For Ex.

If Presets 1,2,4,6 and 9 are defined, then the Tour will cycle
as such... 1,2,4,6,9,1,2,4,6,9,1,2...etc.

The default cycle time is 5 seconds.

Preset

Tour

2 This option works the same as the standard Preset Tour

with the addition of a definable Travel Speed and Dwell
Time. The Dwell and Travel speed can be defined for each
preset by accessing and setting these options in the PTZ
camera menu.

Mimic

Tour This Tour ‘mimics’ a user-defined motion path, copying

everything the user does (including speed).

2 Pan

Swing/

Tilt Swing

This option enables the Horizontal (Pan) or Vertical (Tilt)
‘Guard Tours’.

3 Sequence

This is a Tour method that allows a user to select a Preset
Sequence from a Drop-Down list. This list is only displayed
on supported Protocols.

4 Start/Stop

Position

These options describe how to define a Mimic Tour. The
Start Position button begins the ‘recording’ process. The
Stop Position button ends it.

5 Privacy

Zone The Privacy Zone is a definable area that is masked out so

it cannot be viewed.

6 Travel

Speed This option defines the speed at which a PTZ moves from

one Preset position to the next (when using Preset Tour 2).

7 Dwell

Time

This option defines the length of time (in seconds) that a
PTZ Tour stays on a Preset Position. Moves from one
Preset position to the next (when using Preset Tour 2).
