8 Rear Wheels

8.1

Removing/Installing Rear Wheels

Permanent Axles

1.

Remove the dust cap (if applicable), mounting screw and locknut

that secure the rear wheel and axle spacer to the wheelchair.

2.

Repeat STEP 1 for the opposite rear wheel.

3.

To reinstall the rear wheel onto the wheelchair, reverse STEPS 1-2.

After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure all attaching hardware is tightened securely. Otherwise injury or
damage may occur.

Except where noted, the procedures in this section apply to non-recliner models only. For recliner models, refer to Recliner on page 59.

Only a qualified technician may change the size of the
rear wheel or the seat-to-floor height.

If replacing the same size rear wheel, note the mounting
position on the wheelchair frame for proper
reinstallation of the new rear wheel.
