SET UP Menu

This menu lets you change the setup or register an up
to 8-character password that will allow you access to
the setup menu.

1. Move the cursor to the SET UP parameter in the

MAIN Menu by pressing the

or

button.

2. Select ENABLE or PASSWORD by pressing the

or

button. The default setting is DISABLE.

3. Select ENABLE for making changes in the setup

menu, or select PASSWORD for registering a pass-
word.
Refer to Password Setup on page 31 for details.

Select SYSTEM from the MAIN menu by pressing the

or

button, then press the

SET

button. The SYS-

TEM menu appears on the monitor screen.
As shown below, the SYSTEM menu allows access to 11
items.

To select an item or parameter in the

SYSTEM menu:

1. Move the cursor to the desired item or parameter by

pressing

the or button.

2. Press the

or

button to select the desired

parameter.

3. Press the

SET

button to execute the selection or

display a submenu for an item with the (*) mark.

4. Press the

SET UP/ESC

button to return to the MAIN

menu, if desired.

Clock Setup

This item lets you set the current time and date.

1. Move the cursor to CLOCK in the SYSTEM menu by

pressing the

or

button, then press the

SET

button to move the cursor to the editing area.

2. Move the cursor to the area you want to edit by

pressing the

or

button, then select the

month or number by pressing the (+) or (–) button.

Notes:

• Valid years are from 1998 to 2096. Set the last

two digits for the year. For the year 2000, set
“00”.

• Set two digits for the hours (military time).

3. After finishing the setting, press the

SET UP/ESC

button to move the cursor to CLOCK.

Note:

The date and time are updated when the SET

UP/ESC button is pressed.

Start Up Status Setup

This item lets you select the start-up mode of the Disc
Recorder when the power is turned on.

1. Move the cursor to the START UP STATUS parame-

ter in the SYSTEM menu by pressing the

or

button.
