Heart Rate Features
Heart rate and SmartRate ® features are available when
you grasp both touch-sensitive grips.
When a heartbeat is detected, the HEART RATE display
shows your heart rate and, if your age has been entered,
the SmartRate display pulses and indicates your current
heart rate zone.
Important Use and Safety Information
Read the following before using the heart rate or
SmartRate features.
• Consult your physician before engaging in any vigorous
exercise. Do not use the heart rate programs until
authorized by your physician.
• Know your heart rate and your physician-recommended
heart rate target zone. Individual heart rates vary
according to several physiological factors and may not
correspond directly with Diagram 5.
