5. Wire the
Autocloser to the garage door opener. Read your garage door opener
manual to determine where the wall button terminals are located on the power head.
Strip the wires on one end of Item (1). Attach one of the wires of Item (1) to each of
the screw terminals taking care not to disconnect the wall button wires already at-
tached to the terminals. (Fig. 5-1) Approximate the length of the wire needed to con-
nect to the Autocloser
unit. Add a little extra length to this approximation and cut
the wire. Strip the wires on this end of Item (1) and attach one of the wires to each of
the screw terminals labeled ‘NO’ on the Autocloser
unit (Fig. 5-2).
NOTE: Read carefully and then remove the brightly colored warning label on
the side of the Autocloser unit. The ‘NO’ terminals are under the warning label.
