Selecting Code Procedures

Some OpenCom 100 / Aastra 800 communications system features can also be used
via code procedures. These procedures can be programmed to a Destination
function key by the administrator for you (see Programming Function Keys starting on
page 45).

You execute programmed code procedures by pressing the programmed function
key.

Note for the administrator
The code procedures available on the Aastra 6739i SIP telephone are in the
“OpenCom 100 / Aastra 800 short user guide: Code-number procedures” (available on
the OpenCom 100 product CD as a PDF file, on the USB stick for the Aastra 800).

A current online overview is also available on the web console of the OpenCom 100 /
Aastra 800 communications system in the menu System Info: Codes.

Using a Headset

Instead of using a handset, a headset can be connected to the Aastra 6739i SIP tele-
phone. You can press the

handsfree key in this case in order to accept and end

calls.

You can configure whether to use the headset or the speaker for handsfree operation
via the menu Options List > Audio (see The Options Menu starting on page 41).

Note

Establishing a call can be delayed with SIP telephony. When using a headset, e.g. you
should wait a second before you begin to speak.

Please note:

Use only headsets authorised for use by Aastra on the
Aastra 6739i SIP telephone!

Aastra assumes no responsibility for damage resulting from
headset usage not authorised by Aastra. Contact your dealer or
Aastra sales if you require information in this regard.
