2. Ingest Scheduler
2.1 INTRODUCTION
The IP Ingest Scheduler allows for clips to be automatically
made on any channel under the control of IP Director at either a
time scheduled in advance or entered manually by the user, this
means multiple events over a period of time can be automatically
recorded and protected. A clip can be created on a channel and
assigned a name, level rating and have metadata associated it,
and also be placed into a bin in the Database Explorer.
Note
The Ingest Scheduler does not start or stop the record
channels. The recording process must have been
manually or automatically started before the scheduled
events.
In LSM mode, records are automatically started at boot up. In
IPDP Spotbox mode, the Automatically Start Record parameter
must have been set ON to start the recorders when the system
boots up. In both modes, it is possible to manually start or stop
recordings.
