7. If you want to keep the default file system and volume types, click Apply. Otherwise,

untick Use current disk configuration and customize these settings, then click

Apply.

NOTES:
File system type

We recommend that you use the ext2 file system.

Volume types

Standard (Single Disk): You can only install one hard disk. If it is damaged, all data is lost.

Maximum Volume - JBOD: JBOD requires two hard disks and is ideal for storing a large

amount of data. The total capacity of a JBOD volume is the sum of two disks.

Best Performance - RAID 0 (Striping): RAID 0 requires two hard disks and is ideal for fast

data access. It offers a data stripping process that divides data into blocks and spreads the

data blocks across two disks.

Maximum Security - RAID 1 (Mirroring): RAID 1 requires two hard disks and is ideal for

backing up important data. The content of one disk is duplicated to the other disk to ensure

data security, but the actual available storage capacity equals to the capacity of one disk.
