Chapter : Managing your NAS via its Web GUI
3.3.2 Configuring your hard disks
To configure your hard disks:
1. From the navigation pane, click Disk > Disk Configuration.
. Do either of the following:
• In the Hard Drive Settings area, select the file system and volume types, then
click Create.
IMPORTANT:
Changing the file system and volume types erases all data on your hard disks. Back up
the data that you need before changing the file system and volume types.
• In the RAID 1 Auto-Rebuild Settings area, enable or disable the RAID 1
Auto-Rebuild function, then click Apply.
NOTE:
With RAID 1 Auto-Rebuild enabled, the system is able to recover a degraded RAID
1 volume with a newly inserted hard disk automatically. See
5.2 Using the RAID 1
technology for details.
