Backing up your data

5.2

Using the RAID 1 technology

RAID 1 is an ideal solution for backing up important data. The content of one disk is

duplicated to the other disk to ensure data security. If one disk crashes, you will not

lose your data on the disk. Just replace it with a new disk and the RAID 1 Auto-Rebuild

function automatically recovers the degraded volume.

To create a RAID 1 volume:
1. Install two SATA hard disks.
. Set the volume type to RAID 1 in the Web GUI.
. Enable the RAID 1 Auto-Rebuild function. See

3.3.2 Configuring your hard disks for

details.

by using the Web GUI. See
