IMPORTANT:

DO NOT enable the DHCP server if there is already a DHCP server on your LAN. Doing so will

cause network access error.

3.3.5 Enabling the DHCP server

Set your NAS as a DHCP server that assigns dynamic IP addresses to the clients on the

LAN.

To enable the DHCP server:
1. From the navigation pane, click Server > DHCP Server.
. Configure the following settings:
DHCP Server: Select Enable.
Starting IP Address / Ending IP Address: Set the range of the IP address.
Lease Time: Set the length of time that a DHCP client can use the assigned IP address.
. Click Apply.

Flow Control: Set a upper limit for the download/upload speed to conserve local

bandwidth.

Client Language: Select the client language.
Anonymous FTP: When this item is enabled, you can log into the FTP server using an

anonymous account.

Anonymous download folder: Allows you to select the folder in your NAS-M5 to

store your downloaded files using an anonymous account.

Anonymous upload folder: Allows you to select the folder in your NAS-M5 to store

your uploaded files using an anonymous account.

. Click Apply.
